USAID and other donors supported Lipa, an environmental association, to develop rural tourism and preserve heritage. The last floating mill, built in 1902 was found in very poor condition. Over 30 civil engineering students from a local high school and ten summer camp volunteers took part in restoring this mill that is unique in Croatia.

Today, this mill serves as an information center and starting point for Mura river tours. It also preserves local tradition -grinding flour that is sold to tourists as a souvenir.
