Nearly 9,000 people in the town of Hrvatska Kostajnica and surrounding municipalities are drinking clean and safe water as a result of USAID assistance. The Pasino vrelo water system was not regularly maintained over the past 30 years. As a result, it was unreliable and frequently broke down causing water shortages.
