Tune into Civil Society
Everything you ever wanted to know about civil society can be heard on one of Zagreb's most popular radio stations, Radio 101. The Civildreta show, sponsored in part by USAID, brings in guest speakers and involves listeners to discuss topics related to public perception of non-government organizations (NGOs), youth, human rights, education, and volunteerism.
The Civildreta project is part of USAID's Assistance to Croatian NGOs project, implemented by the Academy for Educational Development, in cooperation with the Center of Peace Studies, Radio 101, H-Alter, an independent web portal (Croatian Alternative).
Civildreta is broadcast every other Tuesday at 19:05. More information about the show's themes and articles can be found on www.h-alter.org .
This USAID-funded project helps promote the valuable contribution NGOs make in helping to solve local and national problems in Croatia such as corruption, legislative oversight, corporate governance/corporate social responsibility, ethnic minority rights, and entrepreneurship.
