Volunteers work on creating recreational paths for hikers.
The Kastav Association of Pensioners and Elderly People promoted healthier living among its members and all town residents. To better utilize the natural resources the association created three recreational paths in the nearby woods of Loza and Lužina.
Over 100 volunteers helped clean, mark and install wooden signs, benches, and tables along the paths. The paths are divided by their length and the level of effort, making them easier for walkers, bikers and joggers to use.
To promote the new paths among locals and tourists, the association printed leaflets in 4 languages and installed a large map of the area with a visible guide to the paths in the center of Kastav.
